Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Capsicum (bell pepper) - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green chilies - 1, slit
- Paratha (store-bought or homemade) - 2
- Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into long strips and add it to the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for stronger flavor) in the refrigerator.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook until they are fully cooked and slightly charred, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil and sauté the sliced onions and capsicum until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- Warm the parathas on a skillet until they are soft and pliable.
- To assemble, place a portion of the cooked chicken on each paratha, top with sautéed onions and capsicum, sprinkle with chaat masala and chopped coriander leaves. Add slit green chilies for extra heat if desired.
- Roll the paratha tightly around the filling and serve hot with mint chutney or any preferred sauce.
