Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 250 grams
  • Ground chicken or lamb - 200 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Bell peppers (sliced) - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, finely chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, cilantro, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into small kofta balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the kofta balls until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  6. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, then arrange the kofta balls evenly over the cheese.
  8. Add sliced bell peppers on top of the kofta and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese and oregano.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
