- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 small (about 50 grams)
- Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Mint leaves, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Olive oil - for brushing
- Wooden skewers - 4, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb and ground beef.
- Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, mint leaves, chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg to the meat mixture.
- Mix everything thoroughly until well combined. You can use your hands for this step.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and mold each portion around a skewer to form elongated kebabs.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat and brush the grill grates with olive oil.
- Place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
