Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Ground beef or lamb - 150 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 150 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilies - 1, sliced (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, cilantro, garam masala, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into small balls (about 2.5 cm in diameter).
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the kofta balls and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base.
  6. Top with the cooked kofta balls and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Add sliced green chilies if desired.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, and slice into pieces to serve.
