Ingredients

  • Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 2 tablespoons
  • Ghee (for greasing) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a non-stick pan, heat the grated coconut on low flame for about 5 minutes, stirring continuously until it's lightly toasted.
  2. Add the grated jaggery to the coconut and mix well until the jaggery melts completely, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in the cardamom powder and chopped nuts, mixing everything thoroughly.
  4. Grease a flat plate or tray with ghee. Pour the coconut mixture onto the tray and flatten it evenly with a spatula or your hands.
  5. Let it cool for about 15 minutes, then cut into square or diamond-shaped pieces.
  6. Allow the Kobbari Mithai to cool completely before serving.
