Ingredients

  • Grated fresh coconut - 100 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped pistachios - 15 grams
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 50 ml

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat the ghee on medium heat and add the grated fresh coconut, stirring for 2-3 minutes until it releases a pleasant aroma.
  2. Add the almond flour and continue to sauté for another 2-3 minutes, mixing well.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve the grated jaggery in 50 ml of water and bring to a boil. Stir until the jaggery completely dissolves.
  4. Pour the jaggery mixture into the coconut and almond flour mixture, and mix thoroughly.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and continue to cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and starts to separate from the pan.
  6. Once the mixture is ready, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Grease a plate or tray with a little ghee.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the greased plate and flatten it evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top.
  8. Allow it to cool completely before cutting it into squares or diamond shapes.
