- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Jaggery - 75 grams
- Coconut (grated) - 50 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 150 ml
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped nuts (cashews or almonds) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine water and jaggery. Heat over medium flame until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- Once dissolved, add the grated coconut and cardamom powder. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Slowly add the rice flour to the mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes on low heat until it thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Grease a flat plate or tray with ghee. Pour the mixture onto the tray and spread it evenly using a spatula.
- Let it cool for about 10-15 minutes until it firms up.
- Once set, cut into small squares or diamond shapes.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
