Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 100 grams
  • Jaggery - 75 grams
  • Coconut (grated) - 50 grams
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped nuts (cashews or almonds) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and jaggery. Heat over medium flame until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  2. Once dissolved, add the grated coconut and cardamom powder. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Slowly add the rice flour to the mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes on low heat until it thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  5. Grease a flat plate or tray with ghee. Pour the mixture onto the tray and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  6. Let it cool for about 10-15 minutes until it firms up.
  7. Once set, cut into small squares or diamond shapes.
  8. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
