- Roasted rice flour - 60 grams
- Fresh grated coconut - 50 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 40 grams
- Ghee - 1 tablespoon
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (almonds or cashews) - 15 grams
- Water - 50 ml
Steps
- In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat and add the grated coconut. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes aromatic.
- Add the grated jaggery and water to the pan, stirring until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat and add the roasted rice flour gradually, mixing constantly to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts, mixing well to combine.
- Remove the pan from heat and transfer the mixture to a greased plate or tray. Flatten it with a spatula to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes, then cut into squares or diamonds and serve.
