- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 80 grams
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 30 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) - 30 grams
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- In a pan, heat the ghee on low flame and add the chopped nuts. Sauté until they are golden brown, then remove them and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the grated jaggery and water. Stir continuously on low heat until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- Gradually add the rice flour while stirring to avoid lumps. Mix well until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder and sauté for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring everything is well combined.
- Remove from heat and fold in the sautéed nuts, reserving a few for garnish.
- Grease a flat plate or tray with ghee and pour the mixture onto it. Spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Allow it to cool for about 10-15 minutes, then cut into desired shapes (squares or diamonds).
- Garnish with reserved nuts and let it set completely before serving.
