Ingredients

  • Roasted chickpea flour (besan) - 100 grams
  • Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped almonds - 30 grams
  • Chopped walnuts - 30 grams
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Desiccated coconut - 20 grams

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat and add the roasted chickpea flour. Roast for about 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
  2. Add the grated jaggery and water to the pan, stirring continuously until the jaggery melts and combines well with the flour.
  3. Mix in the chopped almonds, walnuts, cardamom powder, and desiccated coconut. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  4. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly until it is warm to the touch.
  5. Grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
  6. Allow the ladoos to cool completely before serving.
