  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add the diced chicken pieces and sauté until they are no longer pink.
  5. Mix in the pureed tomato, followed by coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cover the pan and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Once the chicken is tender, sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
