Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Clean the button mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, paprika, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the cleaned mushrooms to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle olive oil over the grill to prevent sticking.
  5. Once hot, place the marinated mushrooms on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have charred marks.
