- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- Almond flour - 60 grams
- Chickpea flour (besan) - 20 grams
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons (adjust as needed)
- Coconut oil (for frying) - 200 ml
Steps
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and chop it finely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, almond flour, chickpea flour, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Mix the dry ingredients well and gradually add water until you achieve a thick batter that coats the spinach.
- Heat coconut oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully drop spoonfuls of the spinach batter into the oil.
- Fry the pakoras in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through.
- Remove the pakoras with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with green chutney or your favorite keto dip.
