Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, chopped
  • Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into 2.5 cm cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, lemon juice, salt, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  3. Add the paneer cubes, chopped bell pepper, and onion to the marinade and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers alternately.
  6. Once the grill is hot, place the skewers on it and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the paneer is golden brown and slightly charred.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a minute before serving.
  8. Serve hot with a side of mint chutney or a fresh salad.
