Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Psyllium husk - 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - 50 milliliters
  • Oil for frying - 200 milliliters

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, black sesame seeds, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead briefly until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Using a sev maker or piping bag fitted with a star nozzle, carefully pipe small strands of the dough into the hot oil.
  5. Fry the sev until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  6. Remove the fried sev and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
