- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Grated coconut - 50 grams
- Psyllium husk - 1 tablespoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 120 ml
- Ghee or coconut oil - for greasing
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, grated coconut, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft and slightly sticky dough forms.
- Grease the puttu maker or a small steaming basket with ghee or coconut oil.
- Layer the mixture in the puttu maker, starting with grated coconut at the bottom, followed by the dough, and repeating the layers until the mixture is used up.
- Steam the puttu for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer, let it cool slightly, and then carefully push out the puttu onto a plate.
- Serve warm with additional grated coconut or your favorite low-carb chutney.
