- Prawns (peeled and deveined) - 200 grams
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Oil (for frying) - 200 ml
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and add it to the dry ingredients along with 2 tablespoons of water. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Add the cleaned prawns to the batter and ensure they are well coated.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully drop spoonfuls of the prawn batter mixture into the oil.
- Fry the pakoras in batches for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
- Remove the pakoras from the oil and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve hot with a side of keto-friendly mint chutney or yogurt dip.
