- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
- Kashmiri red chili powder - 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat the coconut oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the pureed tomato and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
- Mix in the Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the prawns to the skillet, stirring well to coat them in the spice mixture.
- Pour in the vinegar and cook until the prawns are pink and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
