Ingredients

  • Green Gram Flour (Pesarattu flour) - 100 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Mozzarella Cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Bell Peppers (mixed colors) - 50 grams, diced
  • Onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 50 grams, diced
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili Flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh Basil - 5 grams, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine green gram flour, water, and salt to form a smooth batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the skillet and spread it evenly to form a thin pancake (dosa). Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  4. Flip the dosa and sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by half of the diced bell peppers, onion, tomato, oregano, and chili flakes.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the toppings are slightly cooked.
  6. Transfer the pizza to a plate and repeat the process with the remaining batter and toppings to make the second pizza.
  7. Garnish both pizzas with chopped fresh basil before serving.
