Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Tomato puree - 100 ml
  • Heavy cream - 50 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander - for garnish

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes and grill them until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  6. Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil separates.
  7. Add the grilled paneer cubes to the tomato sauce, stirring gently to coat.
  8. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with a side of keto-friendly naan or cauliflower rice.
