- Paneer - 200 grams
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Tomato puree - 100 ml
- Heavy cream - 50 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander - for garnish
Steps
- Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
- Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes and grill them until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add butter and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil separates.
- Add the grilled paneer cubes to the tomato sauce, stirring gently to coat.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with a side of keto-friendly naan or cauliflower rice.
