Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
  • Vegetable broth - 500 ml
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green chili; cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the pureed tomato, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt; cook for another 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Cube the paneer and add it to the pot, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and garam masala, mixing well.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
