- Paneer - 200 grams
- Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
- Vegetable broth - 500 ml
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green chili; cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the pureed tomato, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt; cook for another 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cube the paneer and add it to the pot, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and garam masala, mixing well.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
