Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • Tomato - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Bell pepper (capsicum) - 1/2, finely chopped
  • Fresh coriander leaves - a handful, chopped

Steps

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. Stir in the grated ginger and chopped green chili, cooking for another minute.
  5. Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
  6. Add the chopped bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  7. Crumble the paneer into the pan and mix well with the vegetables and spices.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and stir for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
