- Moong dal (split green gram) - 100 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil (for cooking) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Rinse the moong dal under cold water and soak it in water for at least 2 hours.
- Drain the soaked dal and blend it with 200 ml of water, ginger, green chili, cumin powder, and salt until you achieve a smooth batter.
- Stir in the chopped coriander leaves into the batter.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet and spread it into a thin circle.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, adding oil as necessary.
- Serve hot with low-carb chutney or yogurt.
