Ingredients
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Grated unsweetened coconut - 50 grams
- Erythritol (or any keto-friendly sweetener) - 30 grams
- Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 50 ml
- Salt - a pinch
- Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a non-stick pan, heat the ghee on low flame and add the grated coconut, stirring for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the almond flour, erythritol, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the pan, mixing well for another 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually pour in the water while continuously stirring the mixture until it starts to form a dough-like consistency.
- Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly until you can handle it.
- Once cool, grease your hands with a little ghee and take small portions of the dough to form into modak shapes, filling each with chopped nuts if desired.
- Place the modaks on a plate and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set before serving.
