- Fish fillets (such as salmon or cod) - 300 grams
- Fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves - 50 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the fish fillets to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, wash and chop the methi leaves finely.
- Heat the coconut oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chopped methi leaves and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they wilt.
- Remove the methi leaves from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the marinated fish fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once the fish is cooked, return the sautéed methi leaves to the pan and gently mix everything together.
- Serve hot with a side of salad or steamed vegetables.
