Ingredients

  • Fresh methi leaves (fenugreek) - 100 grams
  • Radishes (daikon or regular) - 200 grams, peeled and cubed
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Wash and chop the methi leaves finely, ensuring to remove any thick stems.
  2. Peel and cube the radishes into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a pan, heat coconut oil over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to sizzle for a few seconds.
  4. Add the chopped methi leaves and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they begin to wilt.
  5. Stir in the cubed radishes and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the radishes and methi leaves evenly.
  7. Cover the pan and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the radishes are tender.
  8. Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
