Ingredients
- Paneer - 200 grams
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Cauliflower - 100 grams (steamed and mashed)
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon (grated)
- Green chili - 1 (finely chopped)
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - for frying (coconut or olive oil)
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Tomato puree - 100 grams
- Onion - 1 small (finely chopped)
- Garlic - 2 cloves (minced)
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 100 ml
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the paneer, almond flour, steamed cauliflower, grated ginger, chopped green chili, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small balls (koftas).
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the koftas until golden brown on all sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the chopped onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes, then add garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and water, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens slightly.
- Carefully add the fried koftas to the gravy and let them soak in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
