  • Ground lamb or beef - 300 grams

  • Ginger - 1 inch, grated
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Keto burger buns - 2 (store-bought or homemade)
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 (for serving)
  • Sliced cucumber - for garnish
  • Sliced tomatoes - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili; sauté for another minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, black pepper, turmeric, cumin powder, and garam masala; cook until the tomatoes break down and the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the ground meat to the pan, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Stir in chopped cilantro and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat.
  7. While the keema is cooking, toast the keto burger buns lightly in another pan or oven.
  8. Assemble the dish by placing a lettuce leaf on each toasted bun, followed by a generous amount of keema, and garnish with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes.
