- Ground lamb or beef - 300 grams
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
- Cauliflower - 200 grams, riced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for wrapping
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Mint yogurt sauce - 4 tablespoons (optional)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb or beef, red onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, egg, and almond flour. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, steam the riced cauliflower for about 5 minutes until tender.
- To assemble, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomato, cucumber, and a dollop of mint yogurt sauce if using.
