Ingredients

  • Ground lamb or beef - 300 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Cauliflower - 200 grams, riced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large, for wrapping
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Mint yogurt sauce - 4 tablespoons (optional)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb or beef, red onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, black pepper, egg, and almond flour. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, steam the riced cauliflower for about 5 minutes until tender.
  5. To assemble, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomato, cucumber, and a dollop of mint yogurt sauce if using.
