- Paneer - 200 grams
- Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 150 grams
- Onion - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Tomato - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Green chili - 1 (adjust to taste)
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Finely chop the onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili, and add them to the pan. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Chop the tomato and bell peppers into small pieces. Add the tomato to the pan and cook until it softens.
- Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the pan. Mix gently to coat the paneer with the spices.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
