Ingredients
- Chicken, boneless - 300 grams
- Bell peppers (red and green) - 1 cup, chopped
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Kadai masala (cumin, coriander, fennel, red chili powder) - 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a kadai or deep pan over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Pour in the tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and stir in the kadai masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the peppers to soften slightly.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the chicken and mix well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
