Ingredients
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Unsweetened ghee - 30 grams
- Erythritol (or any keto-friendly sweetener) - 50 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (almonds or pistachios) - 20 grams
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a non-stick pan, heat the ghee over medium heat until melted.
- Add the almond flour to the melted ghee and roast it for about 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
- In a separate pot, combine the water and erythritol, bringing it to a boil to dissolve the sweetener completely.
- Once the almond flour is roasted, slowly pour the sweetener mixture into the pan, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
- Add the cardamom powder and vanilla extract, mixing well until the halwa thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, which should take about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts before serving warm.
