Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Unsweetened ghee - 30 grams
  • Erythritol (or any keto-friendly sweetener) - 50 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped nuts (almonds or pistachios) - 20 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a non-stick pan, heat the ghee over medium heat until melted.
  2. Add the almond flour to the melted ghee and roast it for about 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  3. In a separate pot, combine the water and erythritol, bringing it to a boil to dissolve the sweetener completely.
  4. Once the almond flour is roasted, slowly pour the sweetener mixture into the pan, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and vanilla extract, mixing well until the halwa thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, which should take about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped nuts before serving warm.
