Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (like cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 150 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cilantro (fresh) - for garnish
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, paprika, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F). If using a grill, lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Thread the marinated fish pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Grill the fish skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the fish is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
