Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper to create the coating mixture.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the egg and add lemon juice to it.
  3. Dip each fish fillet into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
  4. Next, dredge the egg-coated fish fillet in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure a good coating.
  5. Heat coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated fish fillets to the pan.
  7. Fry the fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove the fish from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with a side of lemon wedges.
