Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (cod or tilapia) - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (or to taste)
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil for frying - 200 ml

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the marinade and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and set aside. Place almond flour on a plate.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip each marinated fish fillet in the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with almond flour, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Fry the coated fish fillets in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with a side of lemon wedges.
