Ingredients

  • Fresh grated coconut - 100 grams
  • Green chilies - 2, chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Roasted chana dal - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried red chili - 1, whole

Steps

  1. In a blender, combine the grated coconut, green chilies, ginger, roasted chana dal, lemon juice, cilantro, and salt. Blend until smooth, adding a little water if necessary to achieve desired consistency.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
  3. Add the whole dried red chili to the pan and sauté for a few seconds, then pour the tempering over the blended coconut mixture.
  4. Mix well and adjust salt if needed. Serve fresh as a dip with your favorite keto snacks.
