Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, diced
  • Fresh spinach - 150 grams, washed and chopped
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
  • Green chili - 1, slit (optional)
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the turmeric powder and garam masala, mixing well to coat the chicken in the spices.
  6. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and mix until well combined. Simmer for another 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
