- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chilies - 2, slit
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Curry leaves - 8-10 leaves
- Salt - to taste
- Oil (coconut or olive) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the finely chopped onion, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onion turns translucent.
- Stir in the turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add the shredded cabbage and salt to the pan. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
