Ingredients
- Cabbage - 200 grams, finely grated
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Cottage cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ghee or coconut oil - for shallow frying
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the grated cabbage, almond flour, crumbled cottage cheese, green chili, ginger, garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball.
- Heat ghee or coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, gently place the kofta into the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the kofta from the skillet and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
