Ingredients

  • Okra - 200 grams
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Almond flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Oil (for frying) - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 pieces
  • Sliced tomatoes - 1 medium
  • Avocado - 1 medium
  • Low-carb burger buns - 2

Steps

  1. Wash the okra and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut the okra into thin slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine coconut flour, almond flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add it to the flour mixture, mixing well to form a batter.
  4. Coat the sliced okra in the batter, ensuring they are evenly covered.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated okra slices in batches and fry until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
  6. Remove the fried okra from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. To assemble the burger, take a low-carb bun and layer it with lettuce, fried okra, sliced tomatoes, and avocado.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
