- Okra - 200 grams
- Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Wash the okra thoroughly and pat it dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. Cut the okra into 1-inch pieces.
- In a non-stick pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped okra to the pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the okra. Mix well to coat the okra with the spices.
- Continue to cook for another 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the okra is cooked through and slightly crispy.
- Add garam masala and stir well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
