Ingredients

  • Okra - 200 grams
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Wash the okra thoroughly and pat it dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. Cut the okra into 1-inch pieces.
  2. In a non-stick pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add the chopped okra to the pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the okra. Mix well to coat the okra with the spices.
  5. Continue to cook for another 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the okra is cooked through and slightly crispy.
  6. Add garam masala and stir well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
