- Sugar - 100 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Heavy cream - 100 ml
- Chopped pistachios - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
- Rose water - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a saucepan, bring the full-fat milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes until it reduces to about half its volume.
- Soak the saffron strands in 2 tablespoons of warm milk for about 5 minutes to release their color and flavor.
- Add the sugar and cardamom powder into the reduced milk, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Stir in the saffron-infused milk, heavy cream, and rose water, mixing well to combine all the flavors.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes before transferring it to serving bowls.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow it to set slightly.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds.
