Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 grams, minced

  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
  • Yogurt - 100 grams (for serving)
  • Mint chutney - 50 grams (for serving)
  • Sliced onions - 1/2 cup (for serving)
  • Lemon wedges - 2 (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced chicken, red onion, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, fresh cilantro, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients well until thoroughly combined and the mixture is slightly sticky.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them around the soaked skewers, forming kebabs.
  4. Preheat a grill or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the kebabs for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through, making sure to turn occasionally for even cooking.
  6. While the kebabs are cooking, prepare the serving plate with yogurt, mint chutney, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.
  7. Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the kebabs on a platter with yogurt, mint chutney, onion salad, and lemon wedges.
