Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken thighs - 300 grams
  • Fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves - 50 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers - 4-6 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Wash and chop the fresh methi leaves, then add them to the marinade and mix well.
  3. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  4. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Brush the skewers with oil and place them on the grill. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
