Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chili, cilantro, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and cooking oil.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined, then cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  4. Divide the marinated meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion onto a skewer, pressing firmly to form kebabs.
  5. Once the grill is hot, place the skewers on it and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are browned and cooked through.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve hot with a side of mint chutney and sliced onions.
