Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Fresh cream - 100 ml
  • Yogurt - 50 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine fresh cream, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, black pepper powder, green chili paste, salt, coriander powder, and cumin powder to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  4. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Brush the skewers with oil and place them on the grill or in the oven. Cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Once done, remove from heat and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or salad.
