- Boneless lamb or beef - 300 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped mint leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)
Steps
- Cut the boneless lamb or beef into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, lemon juice, chopped coriander, and mint leaves to create the marinade.
- Add the meat cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
