Ingredients

  • Boneless lamb or beef - 300 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped mint leaves - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the boneless lamb or beef into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, lemon juice, chopped coriander, and mint leaves to create the marinade.
  3. Add the meat cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
  4. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated meat onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
