Ingredients
- Boneless chicken thighs - 300 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
- Cut the boneless chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for deeper flavor.
- Preheat the grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Brush the skewers with vegetable oil and place them on the grill. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and naan or rice.
