Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Egg - 2, beaten
  • Oil - for frying
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a homogenous mixture.
  2. Add the chopped fresh coriander leaves to the mixture and mix again.
  3. Take a portion of the meat mixture and shape it around a skewer, pressing gently to form a kebab. Repeat for the remaining mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the kebabs into the pan.
  5. Cook the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the pan and let them rest on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Dip each kebab into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then return to the pan for a crispy coating.
  8. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
