Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 2, beaten
- Oil - for frying
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a homogenous mixture.
- Add the chopped fresh coriander leaves to the mixture and mix again.
- Take a portion of the meat mixture and shape it around a skewer, pressing gently to form a kebab. Repeat for the remaining mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, gently place the kebabs into the pan.
- Cook the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the pan and let them rest on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Dip each kebab into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then return to the pan for a crispy coating.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
