Ingredients

  • Minced lamb or chicken - 250 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 (lightly beaten)
  • Oil (for grilling) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine minced meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and fresh coriander leaves.
  2. Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper, bread crumbs, and the beaten egg to the meat mixture.
  3. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Form the mixture into oval or cylindrical kebab shapes with your hands.
  5. Heat the oil in a grill pan or on a barbecue over medium heat.
  6. Place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings on the side.
