- Minced lamb or chicken - 250 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1 (lightly beaten)
- Oil (for grilling) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine minced meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chili, and fresh coriander leaves.
- Add garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper, bread crumbs, and the beaten egg to the meat mixture.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Form the mixture into oval or cylindrical kebab shapes with your hands.
- Heat the oil in a grill pan or on a barbecue over medium heat.
- Place the kebabs on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings on the side.
